A new part-time online course aimed at educating students in the self driving car industry is launching today in IT Sligo.
It’s the first of it’s kind in Europe and the Masters of Engineering in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles is being launched around now by Minister of State for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor.
The program was created in conjunction with car manufacturers, such as BMW, to provide the necessary skills needed in the growing industry.
Almost half of the 6,000 students at IT Sligo are now taking online courses.
