Work on another key piece of infrastructure in Sligo has started this week.
It’s the €30m Western Distributor Route, which will link the N4 from the Caltragh junction to Ballydoogan Road.
That will create important acces to the IDA’s Business Park at Finisklin and to a new IDA Business Park at Oakfield.
The work is being carried by SIAC Construction Limited and Sligo County Council.
Sligo/Leitrim TD Tony McLoughlin says the project is expected take about 18 months to complete.
