Local Organisations included in funding allocation for victims of domestic & sexual abuse



Over fifty organisations nationally that are providing support for victims of domestic and sexual violence have benefited from an annual funding allocation of €1.712m, announced by Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan.

 

Among the local organisations to received funding are The Domestic Violence Advocacy Centre in Sligo which provides support and assistance in Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan.

 

Safe Link in Boyle has also been included in the funding allocation they offer information, support and counselling to women who have experienced domestic violence and abusive situations.

 

Senator Frank Feighan earlier welcomed the respective allocations for the local organisations.
