A Donegal councillor has voiced concern over the parking of Illegal encampments in the towns of Ballyshannon and Bundoran.
Fine Gael Councillor Barry O’Neill claimed caravans were illegally parked at two locations in Bundoran as well as at two locations in Ballyshannon.
He also raised serious concerns about illegal encampments in the Lawne Park Housing estate in Ballyshannon where, he said, there are three separate caravans.
Speaking to Ocean FM, Councillor O’Neill says he had no option but to raise the matter at yesterday’s meeting.
Local Lawne Park Resident, Jimmy Ward has criticized Councillor O’ Neill’s comments.
Speaking earlier on North West Today, Mr Ward claimed that the inhabitants of the Caravans situated in the estate have nowhere else to live and that Donegal County Council are aware of their situation.
