A property marking machine will be available for members of the public and community groups in Ballymote to use today.
The unit labels property with the owners Eircode or details, to make it more difficult to sell on if it’s stolen.
It will be located in Ballymote Mart car park from 11am until 3pm.
Local Fianna Fail Cllr, Keith Henry, says it’s hoped the machine will help tackle rural crime.
