A Leitrim man has died following a road incident.
The 80 year old died when his tractor struck a ditch as he drove onto a road from a field at Lacoon, Glenfarne.
Emergency services attended the scene that occurred at around 1pm yesterday afternoon, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
His body was removed to Sligo University Hospital where a post mortem is due to be carried out.
Garda Forensic Investigators are due to examine the scene this morning where the road will remain closed to traffic until around lunchtime.
