A Sligo Fianna Fail Councillor has questioned where the budget of Sligo University Hospital is being spent.
HSE West Forum Committee Vice Chair and Ballymote Cllr Keith Henry made the comment as Sligo University Hospital recorded it’s worst ever trolley numbers for October with 454 people having been placed on trolleys according to INMO figures.
Cllr Henry said this shows a massive increase in figures since October of last year, when 193 people were on trolleys .
He said if the health budget is as big as we are being led to believe, then where exactly is it being spent.
