Michael D Higgins is expected in Leitrim and Donegal today as the presidential election campaign enters its final two days.
He is scheduled to be in Bundoran this evening about 5:30pm.
This afternoon, he will be in Carrick on Shannon.
Meanwhile, last night, in the last presidential debate in which all candidates will take part, Mr Higgins defended his use of the government jet, saying he used it to fly to Belfast to give a speech as part of a packed schedule of events.
He reacted to Peter Casey’s claim that he did not reveal his full use of the jet:
