Average house prices increase across the North West for third time this year



House prices in the North West have risen for the 3rd time in a row this year.

According to Daft.ie’s 3rd Quarter report, house prices have risen in Leitrim by 6.4% compared to the start of the year from €123,534 to an average of €132,435.

In Sligo, the average house price has also risen by 4% to €133,305 while Donegal sees the smallest increase of 1.1% to €144,073.

While prices have increased overall, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal remain the cheapest parts of the country for both renting and buying houses.

Nationwide the average price to buy a home is €257,000 with the most expensive county in ireland being Wicklow where it costs and average of €339,939.
