Minister for Justice hopes Grange will become national centre for Spanish Armada information

The Minister for Justice says he hopes Grange in County Sligo can now become the national centre for Spanish Armada artefacts and information.

Charlie Flanagan made his comments in Grange yesterday evening where he officially opened the new Armada Interpretative and Visitor Centre on the site of the old local courthouse.

The event is part of the weekend Remembering the Armada event.

Minister Flanagan said what the centre and Grange had to offer was unique in terms of tourism and he was hugely impressed with the efforts of the local development committee.
