More than 3,500 Junior Cert students in NW getting results today

More than three-and-a-half thousand Junior Certificate students throughout the north west are receiving their Junior Cert results this morning.

Most students are picking them up from their schools; they’re also available online from 4 o clock.

In Donegal 2,207 students will be picking up their results from schools throughout the county.

In Sligo 871 Students sat the Junior Cert Examination, while Leitrim registered the smallest numbers of students to sit the state Exam nationally, with just 425 students.

Nationwide, just over sixty two and a half thousand students will be collecting their results today while the results will be available on line from 4 p.m. this evening.

Compared to last year’s exam, the numbers of those sitting the Junior Cert have risen by 1.5%.

Provisional results are suggesting that there is little change in the results obtained in subjects such as Maths, Irish and English compared to recent years.
