Programme to support female entrepreneurs

Female entrepreneurs throughout the region are being urged to apply for a place on what’s called the ACORNS Programme.

It stands for Accelerating the Creation of Rural Nascent Start-ups.

The idea behind the programme is to provide up to 50 entrepreneurs based in rural Ireland with the knowledge, support and networking opportunities to meet and maybe even exceed their current aspirations.

The programme will run from October to April 2019, and is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The deadline for application is September 21st.

More than 150 female entrepreneurs have taken part to date in the ACORNS programme, with many reporting increased sales, exports and job creation.
