The Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association calls for commitments to be honoured

The Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association is calling for the commitments under the Farmers Charter of Rights to be honoured, especially with regard to the issuing of farm payments.

Aclare farmer Colm O’Donnell is of course the national president of the organisation.

He says farmers are being left waiting and wondering year after year not knowing why payments have not come through.

He says under the charter there is an onus on the departmentto inform farmers if there is any delay to their payments.
