Bus Eireann announce details of services for those travelling to Knock and Dublin for the Pope’s visit



Bus Eireann has announced details of services for those travelling to Knock and Dublin for the pope’s visit this Sunday morning.

The demand for public transport, such as buses, is expeced to be huge, particularly as gardai are urging those travelling not to use their own private vehicles.

Over half a million people are expected in Dublin and 45,000 in Knock next Sunday morning for the visit of Pope Francis.

For those going to Knock, a bus will depart from Sligo at 6am, travelling through Tubbercurry and Charlestown.

All buses will return from Knock at 1 o clock on Sunday afternoon.

For those going to Dublin, a bus will leave Sligo at 6:30am, stopping in Boyle and Carrick on Shannon.

A bus will leave from Donegal at 5:30am, going through Ballyshannon, Enniskillen, Cavan and Virginia.

All return services from Dublin will return from Busaras at 7pm on Sunday evening.
