A group campaigning for sustainable rural development says jobs are being lost to areas in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal because of the ongoing failure to provide a high-speed broadband network.
It comes after SSE reportedly pulled out of the Enet consortium – the only group still left bidding to deliver the government’s National Broadband Plan
Eir, Vodafone and ESB previously withdrew from the same process earlier this year.
Fianna Fail spokesperson on communications, Timmy Dooley claims the whole broadband plan is now under threat.
