Sligo County Council seeking funding for new Strandhill surfing and community centre



Sligo County Council is asking Failte Ireland for funding for a proposed one-and-a-quarter million euro surfing and community centre in Strandhill.

The centre is to be located at the promenade in the seaside village, and would be a major boost to the area.

Sinn Fein Councillor Chris MacManus says a state-of-the-art surf centre facility would also be a key facility along the Wild Atlantic Way:
