A man in his 40’s has been killed in a road crash in County Leitrim.
He was driving a van which struck a tree on a minor road off the Cloone/Drumlish road near Mohill just before midnight.
He was brought to the Midland Regional Hospital at Mullingar where he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the man killed in a crash in Swinford in county Mayo over the weekend was from Ballymote in south Sligo.
John Hannon, a former Christian Brother was killed in the single vehicle crash on the N5 at Ballinvoher on Saturday evening.
Anyone with further information on either crash is asked to contact the Gardai.
