Bundoran surfers Neil McCarthy and Eoin Lally will head to Santa Cruz in Portugal with the rest of Team Ireland under the guidance of team manager Shauna Ward, also from Bundoran, for the Eurosurf Junior competition that gets underway tomorrow.
McCarthy will compete in the U18 bodyboard category, while Eoin Lally will take part in the U16 surfing event.
The event takes place every two years and the two local boardriders are no strangers to competing having also travelled to Morocco in 2016.
The Donegal pair both won their respective events in Strandhill in the County Sligo Junior Surfing Championships recently to book their place on Team Ireland.
The team as a whole also completed a three day training camp in preparation for the event.
