NO sign appears on Ben Bulben in county Sligo….



A NO sign has emerged on Ben Bulben mountain in county Sligo.

Members of the NO side locally have come out and admitted they put up the NO sign on the North facing side of the mountain with the landowners permission.

It’s plastic sheeting which they started to erect from 4am this morning.

Tommy Banks a member of the Sligo for Life No Campaign is one of the organisers and he spoke exclusively on North West Today from Benbulben mountain this morning.

He defended their action claiming it’s ‘a cry from the mountain’ against the ‘Repeal’ proposals of the government in next week’s referendum:

A NO sign has emerged on Ben Bulben mountain in county Sligo.

Reports by commuters this morning says that letters N O are now quite apparent on the North facing side of the mountain.

The latest poll ahead of next week’s Referendum shows the Yes side still ahead on 44% but they have dropped 3 points since April.

While the No side have gained 4 points and are on 32%.

The undecideds are at 17 per cent – a drop of three points, while 5 per cent say they won’t vote.
