Transport service to bring people to and from rural pubs



Minister for Transport Shane Ross will announce 50 ‘drink link’ bus routes across the country later this week.

The service will bring people to and from their local pubs in a bid to combat rural isolation and connect communities.

The new routes will be in operation in 19 counties and operate mostly on weekends between 6pm and 11pm.

TD Martin Heydon first pitched the idea last Autumn, and he feels it will be of benefit to local businesses:
