Aurivo Chairman hopes new safety measures will help curb rising insurance costs



The Chairman of Aurivo says he hopes the recent introduction of new safety measures at marts will bring down insurances costs.

Aurivo closed its four marts in Sligo, Leitrim and Mayo recently after an incident earlier this month where a farmer at the mart in Mohill was seriously injured by a bull.

But the Co-op is confident that the new safety measures will protect not only farmers but also their staff.
