A Sligo County Cllr has said more has to be done to help businesses who want to set up and move into vacant premises in the town.
Sligo Town has one of the highest rates of vacant commercial units in Ireland, and another retail outlet, Gerry MaGuires, is set to close in the town.
According to a recent report by buildings database Geo Directory, Sligo county has the highest rate of vacant properties in the country, with 19% of units lying empty.
