Fodder crisis: Agriculture Minister still isn’t doing enough



Fianna Fail says it makes “no sense” that the Minister for Agriculture’s scheme to address the fodder crisis only covers dairy co-ops.

The party thinks the scheme needs to be extended to all co-ops and private feed merchants.

Michael Creed announced yesterday that 1.5 million euro will go toward the importation of animal feed to help farmers deal with shortages.

But Fianna Fail’s Agriculture Spokesperson, Donegal Deputy Charlie McConalogue, says the measure doesn’t go far enough:
