A new Primary and Mental Health Care Centre will open in the South Sligo town of Ballymote next Monday (April 9th).
Over the coming weeks, staff will move in to provide medical and nursing services, occupational therapy, public health nursing, speech and language therapy, social worker and psychology, podiatry, dental and dietetics.
An Open Afternoon for the public will take place tomorrow Friday between 2pm and 4pm.
An official opening ceremony will take place later.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Keith Henry, a member of the Regional Health Forum, says it’s good news that health services that were being provided in various places around the town will now be brought together in one place.
