Deputy Gallagher insists increase in crime linked to fewer gardai



A Donegal TD says a drop of 101 gardai in the county during the past eight years is directly related to the increase in crime rates.

Recently published CSO figures show robberies, burglaries, drug offences and assaults in Donegal all increasing.

Fianna Fail Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher describes as ‘truly shocking’ the increase in drug offences in the county which, he says, are ‘spirallingout of control.’
