Boat tour operators told to stay off Innishmurray Island



Boat owners who operate tours to Innishmurray off Co Sligo have been warned to stay off the island.

The small island, which lies in Donegal Bay is approximately 7km from Streedagh and it has been uninhabited since 1948 when the last remaining islanders left.

But the Department of Transport have said all vists to the island must cease on health and safety grounds.
