Strike action by pathologists at Letterkenny University Hospital has been avoided after it was confirmed that there will be an upgrade of the mortuary.
Pathologists had lobbied the HSE in recent months over conditions at the mortuary.
They had planned a walkout next week and had threatened to stop carrying out post-mortems from Tuesday next.
