Concerns raised over road projects announced in Ireland 2040

The National planning Framework launched in IT Sligo on Friday has caused controversy in some areas.

Named Ireland 2040, the goal of the plan is to improve every aspect of the country and prepare for the coming decades.

A number of projects have been named, such as infrastructure improvements, but concern is arising over when or even if some of them will get off the ground.

Sligo/Leitrim Fianna Fail TD Eamonn Scanlon doesn’t believe a number of road projects will even start in the next 10 years.
