Three Sligo players in Connacht Eagles squad for Ealing trip

Sligo will be without Ryan Feehily for tomorrow’s game against Lansdowne in the Bateman Cup semi-finals.

That’s after the in-form scrum-half was named in the Connacht Eagles team for tomorrow’s game British & Irish Cup game against Ealing Trailfinders in London.

He will start among the replacements for the first time and is one of three Sligo players in the Eagles squad for the game.

Conan O’Donnell will start at loosehead and Cillian Gallagher is in the second row, having made all his appearances for the senior side in the back row since making his debut in October.

Both Academy players featured for the first team in last week’s defeat to Munster in the Pro14 in Thomond Park.

Tomorrow’s Eagles game gets underway at 3pm.

Meanwhile, Sligo face into one of the biggest games in the club’s history tomorrow.

They host the top team in the country, and the Dubliners have a commanding lead at the top of Division 1A of the All-Ireland League, which if four divisions above Sligo, who currently sit top of Division 2C.

But Sligo have already beaten a highly-ranked team in the competition when defeating Corinthians in the Connacht Senior Cup final at the same venue before Christmas.

And head coach Ross Mannion says tomorrow’s game gives the players are great chance to show what they can do once again…

Tomorrow’s game kicks-off at the earlier time of 2pm in Strandhill and there will be live updates on Ocean FM.
