Over 40 projects from students in the NW qualify for BT Young Scientist



About 40 projects from schools in the north west have qualified for this year’s BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, which opens in Dublin today.

There are 19 projects from schools in Donegal; six of them are from Magh Ena College in Bundoran, five from Colaiste Ailigh, Letterkenny, and four from Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair.

An entry from St Columba’s Comprehensive School in Glenties looks at coastal erosion in South West Donegal since 1951.

There are 10 entries from schools in Sligo; five from the Ursuline College, two from the Mercy College, two from Jesus and Mary Secondary School, and one from Summerhill College.

Leitrim schools have entered six projects; four are from St Clare’s Comprehensive School in Manorhamilton and one each from Ballinamore Community School and Mohill Community College.
