Search continues along Sligo coastline for missing man

Despite the bad weather, the seach is continuing today along the Sligo coastline for a 43-year old man now missing for four days.

More than 100 people are taking part in today’s effort, with a concentration on the large area of coastline from Aughris Head to Streedagh.

For the past number of days, volunteers have gathered every morning in Rosses Point before groups set out to search designated sections of coastline.

They have been assisted by the Civil Defence, the Coast Guard, Sligo Sub Aqua, the RNLI and members of the gardai.
