Donegal TD hits out at Varadkar for failing to ‘take control’ of overcrowding



Calls have been made for Letterkenny University Hospital to be given funding to increase the amount of beds there.

Yesterday there were 30 people on trolleys at the hospital.

While in the past month alone there has been over 500 instances of patients being left without a bed.

Raising the matter in the Dail, Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie McConalogue says he wants to see the current capacity increased from 330 beds to 350:
