Special Olympics Polar Plunge taking place in the Northwest today



The Special Olympics Polar Plunge 2017 takes place in the Northwest this morning.

It’s taking place in Rosses Point in Sligo at 11am and Rathmullan in Donegal at 11:30am today.

The event is a vital fundraiser for people with intellectual disabilities in the region

And Sligo’s World Champion swimmer and ambassador for the event Mona McSharry says she’ll use the polar plunge as a unique way of preparing for this year’s European Short Course Championships:
