IT Sligo have been drawn away to Connacht neighbours NUI Galway in the first round of the Sigerson Cup.
The draw was made this afternoon in Croke Park, and has pitted holders St Mary’s College Belfast at home to UUJ in the pick of the round one ties.
Queen’s university, who will face Donegal and Fermanagh in January’s Dr McKenna Cup, have been paired with IT Tralee in round one.
Among the other ties, DCU will face the winners of the preliminary round tie between Trinity and Dundalk IT; while Maynooth University will face UCD.
Michael Murphy’s Letterkenny IT team will take on the Cadet School in the Trench Cup quarter-finals.
In hurling, IT Sligo have been grouped with GMIT, Maynooth University and Queen’s University in the Ryan Cup.
