Rural community groups hope there will be more money for CCTV



Community groups in County Sligo are hoping to secure funding for more CCTV to combat rural crime.

Groups are urged to go to a special meeting being held by Muintir na Tire as part of the work of the Sligo Joint Policing Committee at the Clayton Hotel in Sligo at 7:30pm tonight.

Members of An Garda Siochana will be there as well as representatives from the Enterprise Forum in Manorhamilton who have set up a successful CCTV scheme in north Leitrim.

Funding is being made available from the Department of Justice.
