Nominations for Donegal Person of the Year close at end of month



The outgoing Donegal Person of the Year says one of the highlights of his term was seeing the goodness and generousity of people.

Stephen McCahill was speaking to Ocean FM News as the search begins for the next Donegal Person of the Year.

He is chairman of Ardara Heritage Centre and Ardara Community Centre, and former chairperson, secretary and PRO of the Ardara Parish Council

Before him, Deirdre McGloin was the Donegal Person of the year; she is the owner of Harvey’s Point Hotel, on the shores of Lough Eske.

The closing date for nominations for next year’s Person of the year is November 30th; the event is organised by the Donegal Association in Dublin, which held its AGM last week.
