Two women taken to hospital after road collision in Donegal last night



Two women were taken to hospital after a road traffic collision in Donegal last night.

The incident happened yesterday evening at around 8.30pm involving a car and van.

Two French women and a man from Glenties were involved in the incident on the N56 Glenties to Ardara road.

No one was seriously injured however the women were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital.

It’s believed the women are on holidays in Ireland and were travelling in a rented Renault Captur while the local Glenties man was driving a Peugeot Van.

Both vehicles sustained heavy frontal damage in the collision.

Emergency services attened the scene where the road was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
