St John’s v Aughnasheelin switched to Bekan



There is a change of venue and throw-in time for tomorrow’s Connacht Intermediate Championship quarter-final between Sligo champions St John’s and Leitrim winners Aughnasheelin.

The game, which was due to take place in Markievicz Park at 2pm, will now take place at the Connacht GAA Centre in Bekan at 2.30pm.

The change is due to the forecast bad weather over the weekend, and the fact that Markievicz is hosting a county final double-header on Sunday.

The switch is certain to anger St John’s, as the game had been due to be played at a Sligo venue.

The winner will advance to a Connacht semi-final at home to the winners of tomorrow’s Galway final involving Claregalway and Kilkeerin/Clonberne, in a fortnight’s time.
