The PRO of the N4 Action Group has called for clarification on what is the position regarding funding for the proposed new road between Collooney and Castlebaldwin.
There had been widespread expectation that there would be a budget announcement yesterday of a specific capital allocation that would enable work to start on the road.
Sligo/Leitrim TD Tony McLoughlin, in a statement issued last night, said the road would continue to be funded, with an overall tender expected to be ready by the end of 2018.

Meanwhile, speaking to Ocean FM this morning, Deputy McLoughlin says he is awaiting word on the N4 from Transport Minister Shane Ross.
