Businesses waiting too long for insurance assessments post flooding

Donegal Minister Joe McHugh is calling on insurance companies to carry out assessements on businesses hit by the unprecedented flooding in the county as soon as possible.

Minister McHugh joined Minister of State in the Department of Finance Michael D’Arcy who visited a number of business-owners especially some in Muff where more than 35 people are employed.

Minister McHugh says many of them are waiting for an insurance assessment.

He says orders are still coming in and there is an urgent need to get people back to work.
