Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are following a definite line of inquiry on an alleged sexual assault in the county.
The alleged assault is understood to have taken place on Friday, July 28th, at Cartown House a teenage disco just outside Carrick-on-Shannon.
Gardai have confirmed that reports circulating in some media outlets that more than one perpetrator was involved have not been brought to the attention of Gardai.
