A major search operation for a missing man is underway in Enniscrone in west Sligo today.
The Coastguard, Gardai and the Fire Services are among those involved in the search.
The local man was reported missing at 7:30am this morning.
His vehicle has been recovered at the pier in Enniscrone.
The Coastguard is assisting the Gardai and the Fire Services in the search operation today.
A spokesperson for the Gardai has confirmed that the greater Enniscrone coastline is being searched and has thanked the local community who are continuing to help them.
The local diving club and other local people are also assisting in what Gardai say is becoming a major search operation.
