Time extended for submissions on Donegal development plan

People in County Donegal now have more time to make submissions for a new County Development Plan that’s being prepared.

It’s after the council decided to extend the deadline to the 1st of September.

People who made submissions by email before July 13th and did not receive an acknowledgement is asked to resend their submission.

The new development plan will cover the period from 2018 to 2024, and will set out a land use policy for that time as well as guiding the way in which the county will be developed.

It includes the former town council area of Bundoran, as well as Letterkenny and Buncrana.

Senior Planner with Donegal County Council Eunan Quinn has been telling Ocean FM News the reasons for extending the deadline for submissions.
