Motorists warned of longer than usual tailbacks at Laghey

Lengthy tailbacks due to roadwaorks are causing huge delays in Laghey today.

The roadworks are ongoing but Donegal County Council says there is a huge increase in traffic levels at the moment due to the 12th July festivities.

The Council says it’s contributing to the longer than usual tailbacks and locals are advised they can take the old road from Laghey to Donegal town.

However, motorists are warned to drive with care on this route which is narrower than the National Primary Route.

The Councils has confirmed to Ocean FM News this evening that the works at Laghey will be complete by Friday 28th July.
