Sligo has recently been recommended by Vogue Magazine as one of the best places to holiday.

The article from earlier this month has been picked up by the Times in the UK today providing a great boost for the North West.

Alongside places such as Ibiza, Marbella in Spain and The Cote d’Azur in France, Sligo started off the list as one of the places to visit.

Vogue describes Sligo as; ‘A favourite with poets and artists for centuries thanks to its sweeping vistas and rich history of literature’.

The magazine gives mention to numerous businesses, accomodation and things to see and do while also advising that a car is needed.
