Brexit meeting in Donegal today



Assurances that were part of the peace process, such as travel across the border, are among key priorities for the North West in the coming negotiations.

The issues are being discussed today an all-island conference on Brexit in Donegal.

Minister of State for the Diaspora and International Development Joe McHugh is hosting the event in Letterkennyl.

It forms part of the ongoing process of consultation being undertaken by the Government in preparation for Brexit and its impact across the island.

Minister McHugh says it’s vital that the issues affecting the North West and the wider border area are kept very fresh in the minds of the European Commission.
