Fund opens for female entrepreneurs



Applications for Enterprise Ireland’s Competitive Start Fund for female entrepreneurs opens tomorrow, Wednesday May 3rd.

Businesses must fewer than three years old from the date of application and if successful, can receive up to €50,000 in funding with a maximum of fifteen businesses to be selected with the fund totalling €750,000.

Ten of those will be eligible to take part in Dublin BIC’s INNOVATE programme getting them investor ready in a short time.

The CSF for for female entrepreneurs started in 2012 to encourage more women to start businesses.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Sarita Johnston, female entrepreneurship manager with Enterprise Ireland, says it’s an ideal opportunity if you have an idea to develop.
