Schools finishing earlier on a Friday will give families a chance for more quality time together at the weekend.
That’s according to Paul Keogh, principal at Summerhill College in Sligo Town.
From next September all four secondary schools in Sligo Town are changing to a new timetable which will include finishing at 20 past 1 every Friday afternoon.
Mr. Keogh told Ocean FM that there will still be an opportunity for students to stay on the school premises.
