25 Jobs expected to be lost at a Sligo based company

25 jobs are expected to be lost at a Sligo based company in the coming weeks.

ProTek Medical announced yesterday evening that a restructuring of it’s operations in Sligo is to be undertaken due to significant losses.

The company intends to introduce cost reduction plan to better align its cost base with its current level of sales.

It is expected that up to 25 roles will be impacted, subject to a 30-day consultation period with employee representatives.

In a statement the company says it is focused on the future of its Sligo plant and it is committed to building capabilities that will prepare the company for profitable growth and innovative opportunities in areas such as connected health.
