Donegal ladies claim inter county darts title in Clare



The All-Ireland Inter County Darts Finals took place at the weekend in Ennis, County Clare. Over 700 competitors from 26 counties took part in the event. Sligo managed to reach the quarter-finals having been narrowly beaten by Cork in a tense game that saw the Cork side win out 7-6.

Leitrim lost out to Carlow in the shield semi-final having been beaten by the Faithful County 7-5.

The Leitrim Ladies lost to Limerick in the shield semi-final 4-1.

In the men’s final, Offaly beat Donegal in an nail-biting final that finished Offaly 7 Donegal 6.

The Donegal ladies won the final against Cork 4-3. Donegal player Leah Fox spoke with Ocean FM about the experience and their path to the final.
